Danska brigades
Danska brigaden (German: ' Danish Brigade ') was a military unit at the end of World War II , which consisted of Danish refugees who were trainedin Sweden from 1943 to 1945. The brigade was to be used in Operation Rädda Danmark . On May 5, 1945, the unit crossed the Öresund from Helsingborg in Sweden to Helsingør in Denmark.
At the end of the war the brigade comprised 3,600 men and was led by the Danish Major General Kristian Knudtzon .
