Darling is an extinct city ( ghost town ) in Delaware County , Pennsylvania . The Geographic Names Information System refers to them as an inhabited place. An alternative name is Darlington.

A post office was set up in 1879 and remained in operation until 1964. The city got its name from the family of the same name who originally owned the urban area. She received it from William Penn . The village is near Middletown at a height of 45 meters.
