Darts of Pleasure is the debut single by the British musical group Franz Ferdinand . It was released in Great Britain on September 8, 2003, in North America on November 18, 2003. The song ends with a few sentences in German: "My name is Super Fantastisch / I drink champagne with salmon fish / My name is Super Fantastisch."

The song played a major role in the group's career insofar as the editor of the New Musical Express , Connor McNicholas became aware of the band through a demo of Darts of Pleasure . The New Musical Express presented the Philip Hall Radar Award to Franz Ferdinand in 2004 (already known since 2003) and announced the group on the front page of the magazine as " The Band That Will Change Your Life " ( German  The band that will change your life ). In addition, on the occasion of the release of the single , John Peel referred to Franz Ferdinand as " saviors of rock and roll " ( German  savior of rock and roll ), to which the increase in popularity is attributed, among other things. Darts of Pleasure reached 44th place in the UK Singles Chart .
