The Darwil company was a Swiss watch manufacturer based in Vacallo in the canton of Ticino , which produced very flat wristwatches (type designation Special flat ) in the 1960s .
The brand name Darwil was taken over by the Swiss watch manufacturer Montres Choisi in Biel in 1992 ; this company went out in 2013 after bankruptcy proceedings.
