Daryl Haney , also Duke Haney (born June 21, 1963 in Charlottesville , Virginia ) is an American actor, screenwriter and author .

Life

Haney first appeared as an actor in a feature film in 1983 and appeared in New York 1991 - Night Without a Law . Since 1988 he is also known as a screenwriter. That year three films were released in which he was responsible for the script, including Friday the 13th Part VII - Jason in a bloodlust . More than two dozen other film and television productions followed, including adult, action and horror films, primarily B-films , often produced by Roger Corman . One director he worked with on multiple occasions was Harry Bromley Davenport . As an actor, Haney often starred in productions he wrote, and around the turn of the millennium he was also seen in the film Rat uzivo , his second after Yugoslav production Drugi covek from 1988. As a nameless drug dealer, he was seen in Under Control in 2008 .

Haney is also active as a book author. In 2009 he released his debut Banned for Life under the name DR Haney . Subversia , a collection of essays , followed the following year . In 2018 he released Death Valley Superstars: Occasionally Fatal Adventures in Filmland .
