The new weekend
The new weekend was an erotic magazine from the Bauer publishing group , which was published weekly until 2005 and had a circulation of 1.6 million copies in the 1970s. In addition to the possibility of a subscription and the usual distribution channels (kiosk, gas stations, etc.), reading circles and clubs were also connected, so that the magazine could be viewed free of charge in many public places. After the sales figures had declined over a longer period of time, the publisher decided in 2005 to stop publishing. Today the magazine appears monthly and is distributed by VU Verlagsunion KG.
