Dashi (Pengxi)
Dashi ( 大石镇 , Dàshí Zhèn ) is a large community in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of Pengxi County , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture -level city of Suining in Sichuan Province . The large community has an area of 39.4 square kilometers, 30,000 inhabitants (2017) and is about 20 km away from the center of Pengxi. The Xiaotong He (小 潼 河) flows from east to west through the area of the large community.
Dashi is divided into 20 administrative villages and two communities .
There are several programs to develop and promote agriculture in Dashing. There are two flower nurseries with a total of over 50 hectares of cultivation area, as well as fruit-growing projects, e.g. B. for canistel , watermelon, Japanese loquat , oranges or Nashi pears on 200 hectares. In 2016, 350 hectares were created for the organic cultivation of walnuts. There is an operation for growing edible mushrooms. Dashing has one of the largest racing pigeon breeding stations in the Chinese army with 10,000 animals, three large-scale pork production facilities and over 50 smaller farms for breeding black Tibetan pigs.
