background

The aim of the database of women writers in Germany 1945 ff. Is to make the work of women writers visible and to document them. The proportion of women writing fiction is much higher in the 20th century than in previous periods. In order to do justice to this development in literature documentation, the database of women writers in Germany was initiated in 1945 ff. The database offers a comprehensive catalog of works of primary literature by literarily productive women and is the only bio-bibliographical project of its kind in Germany. Various literary research projects and publications have been created on the basis of the database.

content

DaSinD online provides a bibliographical index with references to independently published writings (monographs), anthologies, contributions in anthologies and broadcast radio plays. At the same time, there is a biographical index that provides information on names, dates of birth and death, and photos (portraits of women authors).

Further biographical details such as addresses, professional and private contacts, training and professional stations, places, events and activities of particular biographical interest and grants and prizes can only be requested directly from the Frauen-Literatur-Forschung eV Foundation.
