The Daumelle [dumelle], Thumbselle or Dammel was an Austrian measure of length and was valid in Carinthia .

In Sachsenspiegel has already been mentioned as heights and lengths. The thumb cell was originally measured from the elbow to the tip of the thumb. No celebrity achieved the double measure (2 thumbs) as the length for the oak stick for the punishment of punishment with a stick.
