Dauntless is a free action-based video game developed by Phoenix Labs and distributed by Epic Games. The game was launched in May 2018 in beta version for Microsoft Windows. A pre-release version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released on May 21, 2019, including full cross-platform play support, was released on September 26, 2019. A Nintendo Switch version was released on December 10, 2019.

Gameplay

Dauntless takes place in a fantasy setting where a catastrophic event tore the world apart and monstrous creatures known as Behemoths fall prey to surviving humans. Players take on the role of a slayer who defeats Behemoths and collects loot, which they use to create and upgrade weapons and equipment to defeat larger and more powerful Behemoths. During the hunt, the game is played as a third-person action game. The player attacks the creature with a combo system, while monitoring its own health and stamina. Such hunts can take up to 20 minutes to play. The game can be played both as a single player and together with up to four people.
