Daur Achwlediani ( Russian Даур Ахвледиани ; born October 10, 1964 in Gagra , † 1993 in Sukhumi ) was a Soviet - Abkhaz football player.

Daur Achwlediani was born in Gagra and was signed up in 1983 by the then Soviet first division club Torpedo Kutaisi . However, Torpedo rose in the season, Achwedliani then hired at the third division Dinamo Sukhumi . There he became a regular player and completed over 200 games. In 1991, due to the unclear political situation in Abkhazia, he finally moved to the then newly founded Russian league and was signed by Uralan Elista .

In 1993 he went back to Abkhazia and joined the independence fighters there. Achwlediani was killed in the fighting with Georgian forces over Sukhumi. He was posthumously named "Hero of Abkhazia". The stadium of the Abkhaz club FK Gagra in his hometown is named after him today.
