David Fine (music manager)

David Fine (* 1929 in South Africa ; † August 28, 2005 in London ) was a South African music manager.

David Fine held various management positions in companies in the music industry. At Polygram he was CEO and President. In his 40 years in the phono industry he led a. a. the record label Decca Records and was part of the executive level of the international and British federations of the phono industry.

From 1987 to 1998, Fine was Chairman of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Fine entrepreneurship and business acumen contributed to the success of the industry in the 1980s and 1990s. The IFPI recognized Fines' significant achievements with an award.
