David Scott (politician, before 1816)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Scott (* before 1816 in Pennsylvania , † after 1817) was an American politician . In 1817 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

There is hardly any information about this politician. He was elected in the congressional election of 1816 as a candidate for the Democratic Republican Party in the 17th  constituency of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he nominally succeeded Jared Irwin on March 4, 1817 . Before the constitutive session of the Congress, he resigned this mandate for unknown reasons. It is recorded that he was an appellate judge that same year. Otherwise his track will be lost again.
