Leopold David Verney, 21st Baron Willoughby de Broke FRSA , FRGS (born September 14, 1938 ) is a British peer and politician .

He is the son of John Verney, 20th Baron Willoughby de Broke and his wife Rachel Wrey. When his father died in 1986, he inherited his title of nobility Baron Willoughby de Broke , as well as the hereditary seat in the House of Lords . When in 1999 the passage of the House of Lords Act of 1999 abolished the inheritance of parliamentary seats, he was among the 90 hereditary peers elected to remain in the House of Lords. He originally belonged to the Conservative Party , but moved to UKIP in 2007 , from which he left in autumn 2018 and has been non-party ever since.

From 1999 to 2004 he was President of the Heart of England Tourist Board .

His first marriage between 1965 and 1989 was Petra Daphne Aird (* 1944), the daughter of Colonel Sir John Renton Aird, 3rd Baronet . Since 2003 he has been married to Alexandra du Luart, a granddaughter of Rab Butler . He has three sons with his first wife, including Rupert Greville Verney, his heir. He also has two stepdaughters.
