Davies Coop & Company is a South Australian manufacturer of yarn and textile products.
history
The company manufactured shirts and pajamas from 1925. It diversified into knitting in 1928, into cotton spinning in 1930 and into cotton weaving in 1932. Another expansion took place in 1938 when the company set up a factory to manufacture capacitor yarn and tire yarn for car tire fabrics. In 1938 it founded Davies Coop (Flax Industries) Pty Ltd , weaving flax fibers ( solid linen ) for tarpaulins , fire hoses and canvas . In 1969 the company was taken over by Bradmill Industries Limited .
