Dawda JK Bah was elected to parliament in 1997 as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the constituency of Nianija in the Janjanbureh Administrative Area . With 96.91% he was able to win the constituency before the independent candidate Essa Bah for himself. In the 2002 parliamentary elections , Bah ran again in the same constituency. He was able to win the constituency for himself again, he achieved more votes than Maka Mbye (NRP). Bah did not run as a candidate for the 2007 parliamentary elections .
