The Deer Lake is a lake in King County in the State of Washington . It represents an extension in the course of the Taylor River and is just below its source. A short distance downstream is Snoqualmie Lake .
The lake is accessed by approximately a mile (1.6 km) hike from Snoqualmie Lake. Deer Lake and Bear Lake , the actual source of the Taylor River, not far upstream, are the same size.
The Taylor River tumbles over a small waterfall shortly before reaching Deer Lake . Just below the drain is a long cascade that takes up much of the way to Snoqualmie Lake.
