Delaney Building

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Delaney Building is an eight-story building in Spokane , USA. A special feature of the Delaney Building is a free-standing transmission tower on the roof, isolated from the ground , which is used to broadcast KSBN's program on 1230 kHz. A counterweight is used as grounding, which consists of several wires that are stretched to the surrounding buildings. Self-radiating transmission towers on house roofs are very rare, as this arrangement generates high levels of unwanted space wave radiation.
