Delfingen is a French automotive supplier. The product portfolio includes protective coverings for cables and hoses, plastic and metal lines and seat belts. Delfingen was founded in 1954 by the Swiss Emile Streit from Radelfingen as SOFANOU (short for: Société de Fabrication Nouvelle ), a manufacturer of plastic bags . It was not until 1983 that the production of plastic bags was discontinued to reflect a new focus on the production of vehicle parts. In 2007 the company changed its name to Delfingen-SOFANOU , the subtitle SOFANOU was to be dropped over the years. Today Delfingen is a listed company, but over 66% of the voting rights are still in the hands of the founding family. The company was formerly part of the CAC Small index.
