history

Delkeskamp Verpackungswerke GmbH has existed as the operating company of the asset management company Delkeskamp KG since the business split in 1990. The company is managed by a member of the Delkeskamp family. Since 1996, Stefan Delkeskamp has been the managing partner of the group of companies.

The company's roots lie in the Nortrup GmbH cardboard box factory, which was founded in 1896 by the merchants Hermann Kemper, August Pählig and Hector Jacob Coenraad Mensonidis. The founders saw the increasing need for mailing boxes to supply the growing cities with rural products at the turn of the century. Carl Delkeskamp joined the management of the aspiring company in 1898. In 1915 he acquired the shares of the remaining co-founder Hermann Kemper and thus became the sole partner. Since then, the following generations of the Delkeskamp family have expanded the packaging business. With the commissioning of their own paper mill in 1960, the paper supply was ensured and the company was able to become more independent from previous suppliers. At the same time, foam was discovered as an additional material for packaging and, among other things, was developed. a. the expanded polystyrene Denopor .

Products

Delkeskamp produces packaging, displays, load carriers and technical parts made of paper , corrugated cardboard and foam . In the paper mill, corrugated cardboard base paper is produced exclusively from waste paper. These are produced both for in-house use and for the free market. The core segment is the manufacture and processing of corrugated cardboard. Thanks to suitable printing processes, in addition to the classic function of transport protection, the promotional aspects of cardboard packaging are becoming increasingly important. In the plastics plant, molded parts are made from expanded polystyrene (EPS), better known as Styropor®. These are used when the goods to be protected must be precisely and correctly embedded, or when special protection against cold, heat or moisture is required.

Trainee Plus

In addition to dual training, the "Azubi-Plus" training program provides additional knowledge in the areas of self-management, conflict management, presentation techniques and project work.
