Denis Chabroullet

Denis Chabroullet (born July 17, 1953 in Paris ) is a French director and author and directs the Théatre de la Mezzanine in Lieusaint near Paris.

After a chaotic school career at municipal and clerical schools, with a great fascination for sport, especially the Tour de France and the competitions between Jacques Anquetil and Raymond Poulidor , he founded the big band Clic in the 1970s . In 1978 he and others formed the first theater company Théâtre du Hangar . The troupe went on tour in France and Spain .

In 1979 he founded the Théâtre de la Mezzanine with Sophie Charvet and Roselyne Bonnet des Tuves. After initial attempts with text montages, Chabroullet developed a theater without words.
