The Raczyna (Polish) / Račí potok (Czech), (German Krebsbach ) is a right tributary of the Glatzer Neisse in the Czech Republic and Poland .
course
The Račí potok rises not far from the Polish border at Černý Kout / Przełęcz Karpowska ( Karpensteiner Pass ) east of the Karpień castle ruins in the Reichensteiner Mountains in the Czech Republic . Its source is in the Koníček ( Rösselberg , 851 m), Hřeben ( Glasekamm , 659 m), Vábný (577 m), Hraniční vrch ( Schusterberg ), Černý vrch / Góra Czernik ( Schwarzberg , 852 m), Pustki (671 m) ) and the Góra Królówka (784 m) surrounded Kessel U Buku . On its course to the northeast, the Račí potok flows west of Nové Vilémovice and Červený Důl through a shallow forest valley. At the eastern foot of Dubový vrch, a chestnut avenue leads north along the stream. Then the stream breaks through the mountains between the castle ruins of Rychleby ( Reichenstein ), Pustý zámek ( Ödschloss ) and Čertovy kazatelny ( Devil's Pulpit ) in a deep rocky valley known as Račí údolí ( Crab Ground ). The first settlement in the valley is Račí Údolí; then the brook enters the lowland Przedgórze Paczkowskie ( Patschkauer Vorland ).
Past Svatý Antonín, Horní Fořt, Dolní Fořt, Mlatci Záhradníci and the Pavlinka desert, the stream flows to Poland, where it is known as Raczyna . There Trzeboszowice stretches along the stream, which is then directed south of Ścibórz at Jezioro Otmuchowskie in a canal between Frydrychów and Śliwice to the Glatzer Neisse , into which it joins south of Otmuchów.
The stream is 26 kilometers long, 13.5 kilometers of which are in the Czech Republic. The Czech part of the catchment area covers 28.7 km² and 2664 people live there. This also includes most of the town of Javorník . The average flow rate on the Polish-Czech border is 0.44 m³ / s.
Attractions
In the U Buku cauldron there is a memorial cross for the labor camp established there during the Second World War. The foundation walls of the camp have also been preserved. In addition, there is basically a protected large beech tree.
The remains of the Rychleby and Pustý zámek castles and the rock formations of the Devil's Pulpit, of which the Upper Devil's Pulpit has a height of 13 meters, lie above the rugged Crab Ground.
The section between the spring and the Račí Údolí settlement is part of the Račí údolí nature reserve .
