The Świdna (Polish) / Vojtovický potok (Czech), (German groundwater , on the upper course Mühlbach , on the middle course Hutwasser ) is a right tributary of the Raczyna in the Czech Republic and Poland .

course

The Vojtovický potok rises not far from the Polish border at the eastern foot of the Przełęcz Gierałtowska (762 m) in the former village of Hraničky in the Reichensteiner Mountains in the Czech Republic . Its source is from the mountains Hraniční vrch ( Schusterberg ), Roveň ( Menzelkuppe , 778 m), Brandkoppe (678 m), Strážiště ( Hutberg , 812 m), Borůvkový vrch ( Urlichberg , 859 m) and Siwa kopa ( Schimmelkuppe , 768 m) ) surround. On its course, which initially leads east, it forms a narrow, wooded valley in the Brettgrund and flows through Nová Véska . There the brook divides at the foot of the Kokeš ( Hühnerkoppe , 651 m). The Mlýnský potok branches off to the left, where the village of Vojtovice extends.

Passing Hraničná , Nové Chaloupky , Sedmlánů and Bergov , the Vojtovický potok turns to the north at the cones of the Lánský vrch ( Hubenberg , 422 m) and Kaní hora ( Hutberg , 476 m) protruding from the foothills . Dolní Les , Buková and Bernartice are located along its course . There the Vojtovický potok is bridged by the Lipová Lázně – Bernartice u Javorníka railway line. The stream then reaches Polish territory, where it is called Świdna , and flows through Dziewiętlice . Then the brook enters the lowland Przedgórze Paczkowskie ( Patschkauer Vorland ) and turns to the northeast. Between Trzeboszowice and Ratnowice it forms a wide floodplain with numerous side arms. From Meszno the regulated course of the Świdna leads north and joins the Raczyna south of Frydrychów .

The primeval lower course ran from Meszno, parallel to Raczyna in the Silesian lowlands, through Śliwice and past Zwierzyniec ( Thiergarten hunting lodge ). Across from Wójcice, the Świdna flowed directly into the Glatzer Neisse on the Jezioro Nyskie terrain .

The stream has a length of 26.2 kilometers, 17.58 kilometers of which are in the Czech Republic. The Czech part of the catchment area covers 42.86 km² and 1354 people live there. The average flow rate on the Polish-Czech border is 0.849 m³ / s.
