The Kaní hora (German Hutberg ) is a 476 meter high mountain in the area of ​​the municipalities Skorošice and Žulová in the Friedeberger Hill Country ( Žulovská pahorkatina ) in the Czech Republic.

location

The prominent mountain rises two kilometers west of Tomíkovice on the edge of the Silesian plain above the valleys of the Vojtovický potok , Petrovický potok and Skorošický potok. To the south lies the cone of Lánský vrch ( Hubenberg , 422 m) and to the north of Rohatec ( Schoberberg , 364 m). Surrounding towns are Dolní Les in the north, Kobylá nad Vidnavkou in the northeast, Tomíkovice in the east, Dolní Skorošice in the south, Sedmlánů in the southwest, Bergov in the west and Vlčice in the northwest.

geology

On the south-eastern part of the mountain, which consists of granite and diorite , Friedeberger granite and Hutberg diorite were extracted in several quarries . The latter rock is named after the mountain.
