Deportivo Hidro

Deportivo Hidro is a Mexican women's soccer club with an attached soccer school for boys and girls in Aguascalientes , the capital of the state of the same name .

Club name

The club name Hidro , a short name for Hidrocálidos , is derived from the nickname of the townspeople, which refers to the local thermal springs that gave the town its name (Aguas Calientes = hot water).

history

In the 2016 Apertura, the women's team reached the finals of the Mexican women's soccer championship against Río Soccer , the “series champions” of previous seasons. The first leg with home advantage was played on November 26, 2016 on the soccer field of the Centro Deportivo Ferrocarrilero, which opened in 1959 . Río Soccer won the finals and thus the championship for the fourth time in a row.
