Standard formation

The standard formation at the German Championship 2009

A standard formation was founded in 1986 in the Karabey dance school. The formation was originally intended as a pure show formation. At the beginning of 1991 a standard formation was re-established, which has been competing since the beginning of 1994 as the Bad Homburg Circle in the TC “Der Frankfurter Kreis” at league level in the German Dance Sports Association , initially in the Regional League South Standard. The formation danced quite successfully in the Regionalliga Süd at the beginning, but could not make it to the 2nd Bundesliga in the relegation tournaments. It was not until the 1999/2000 season that they were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard with a victory in the relegation tournament, after the team had reached 1st place in the Regional League.

The team danced in the 2nd Bundesliga for the next two years and reached 4th place there. After the A and B team of TSC Astoria Tübingen no longer competed in the 1st Bundesliga Standard in the 2002/2003 season, two teams moved from the 2nd Bundesliga with the TC "Der Frankfurter Kreis" and the TC Rot-Weiss Casino Mainz Bundesliga standard, so that the standard team of TC "Der Frankfurter Kreis" also danced in the 1st Bundesliga in 2002/2003.

  • 2002/2003 season: 1st Bundesliga (7th place, relegation to 2nd Bundesliga)
  • 2003/2004 season: 2nd Bundesliga (1st place, promotion to 1st Bundesliga)
  • 2004/2005 season: 1st Bundesliga (7th place, relegation to 2nd Bundesliga)
  • 2005/2006 season: 2nd Bundesliga (8th place, relegation to Regionalliga Süd)
  • 2006/2007 season: Regionalliga Süd (1st place, 3rd place in the promotion tournament, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga as a successor after the TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss canceled their standard formation from the 2nd Bundesliga)
  • 2007/2008 season: 2nd Bundesliga (3rd place)
  • 2008/2009 season: 2nd Bundesliga (2nd place, promotion to 1st Bundesliga)
  • Season 2009/2010: 1st Bundesliga (7th place, relegation to 2nd Bundesliga)

After the 2009/2010 season, the club's standard formation broke up.

The standard formation of the TC "Der Frankfurter Kreis" was seen several times in the crime scene ; first in 2002 in the crime scene episode "Oskar", then in 2003 in the episodes "Frauenmorde" and "Das Böse". The filming locations for the episode “Oskar”, which was filmed in 2001, were the Karabay dance school and downtown Frankfurt. In 2003, the film was shot in the Frankfurt Zoo-Gesellschaftshaus, which was transformed into a tournament hall with a stage, perimeter advertising, judges and spectators.

Latin formation

The Latin formation of the TC "Der Frankfurter Kreis" started in the 2005/2006 season with the musical theme "Cuba" in the Oberliga Süd HTV / TRP Latin and reached fourth place in the league. A year later, the formation joined the Latin formation of the TSA Rüsselsheim. In the 2006/2007 season, in addition to the A team in the major league, a B team started in the South Latin regional league. Both teams achieved a promotion place with their new topic “Let me entertain you” (which had been leased from the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen ). The A-Team started in the 2007/2008 season in the Regional League South Latin, the B-Team could not compete due to a lack of staff.

In the 2008/2009 season, the A-Team started in the Regionalliga Süd with the new “Queen” theme (which was again leased from the Green Gold Club Bremen), which will be danced again in the 2009/2010 season. In the 2010/2011 season the formation danced to the musical theme “Himmelsstürmer” of the TSZ Aachen, in the season 2011/2012 it danced to the theme “Rihanna”. The choreography was created together with TSC Brühl in BTV 1879 , whose A-Team had made a march into the first Bundesliga in the previous seasons. With this topic, the Frankfurt team achieved second place in the Regionalliga Süd and thus qualified for the promotion tournament to the second Bundesliga.

In 2012 the team joined forces with TSC Usingen to form the TC “Der Frankfurter Kreis” / TSC Usingen. In the 2012/2013 season, the formation community danced the choreography with the theme "Rihanna" again in the Regionalliga Süd Latin. In the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons, the team danced to the musical theme "Lionel Richie". After the 2014/2015 season, the formation community broke up.

The formation's coaches were most recently Susann Lehniger, Mario Radinger and Christian Konieczny.
