The dog is coming! is a children's novel by Christine Nöstlinger from 1987.

action

The dog wants to lead an adventurous life. After his wife's death, he goes to a restaurant to work. The local owner Heinrich hires him as a thrower. When the pig that the buck is cheating, annoyed, the dog goes with him to the theater. The pig gets a role that is not taken seriously, whereupon the pig turns the drama into a comedy .

The dog goes to a school and is mistakenly mistaken for a substitute teacher, whereupon the police look for the dog. Then the bear, who is the headmaster of the school, and the dog flee to the widow Olga, the bear's sister-in-law . One day the dog gets sick and is taken to the clinic . He is afraid of the clinic because many of his relatives died there. A tomcat asks him to free his children from his apartment and take care of them. When she leaves for a moment, the dog and bear hand the cats over to the hospital, disguised as women. The bear wants to become a politician , but a bitch spoils him, so that the bear moves into the dog's house.
