The alternative title was We tinker in the Indian Club . From July 1966 to January 1967 the series was then called The Cowboy Club . Against the background of the Karl May films that were popular at the time , the format was designed as a craft program for Indians - or later cowboy costumes with the appropriate equipment. The 17 half-hour episodes ran on Tuesdays in loose succession in the so-called children's hour in the ARD evening program. The cowboy club, however, was broadcast on Thursdays.
