content

The three-part documentary film series shows the work of the Gates with their foundation. There are approaches to improve the hygienic conditions in developing countries, for example through a toilet that does not require a sewer system , or a self-sufficient sewage treatment plant that produces drinking water from sewage sludge . The aim is to reduce the number of fatal diarrheal diseases for children and to give the population access to clean drinking water. The use in African countries, in which vaccination against polio is being promoted, is also shown.

At the same time, the documentary film series also deals with Bill Gates himself, his rise in the IT industry and with the Gates couple. Controversial sections such as the browser war against Netscape in the 1990s or the involvement in the research and development of rotating wave nuclear reactors by Gates' TerraPower, founded in 2006, are also discussed .
