history

For over 50 years, "The Schedule" has given theater lovers an overview of what is happening on stage in German-speaking countries. Paul Albrecht Schmücking , dramaturge at the Staatstheater Braunschweig , first published the magazine in 1956. Originally, the magazine was intended to serve as an information exchange among theater professionals.

In 1972 the Löwendruckerei in Braunschweig took over the magazine. The print shop businessman Karl-Heinz Fischer took over the design of the magazine, his wife Vera Fischer headed the editorial department. The number of theaters advertising skyrocketed from 20 to 200. The number of subscribers rose to more than 5,000 within a very short time.

Vera Fischer traveled through the theaters until the end of the 1990s, wrote reviews and made contacts with theater professionals. The magazine has been published by the Löwendruck Bertram GmbH printing company since 1985 and is run by a small team of theater enthusiasts; Vera Fischer is also still in charge.
