The Ulenspiegel

The Ulenspiegel was a German cabaret theater. It was considered to be the most renowned Berlin venue for cabaret in the early post-war period .

history

On June 22, 1946, the Ulenspiegel (director: Friedrich Pasche ) was opened in Nürnberger Strasse. The bereaved appeared on this occasion with a guest performance. Later on, Gustaf Gründgens and Carl Heinz Schroth also directed at Ulenspiegel . Günter Neumann's cabaret revues ( Alles Theater , Schwarzer Jahrmarkt ) made up a large part of the program. These performances are of particular importance in the development of Berlin cabaret after the Second World War.

The Ulenspiegel only existed as a venue from 1946 to 1948.
