Der Verfall is a techno project by music producer Alex Butcher , Echo Prize winner Alexander Abraham and formerly Kai MacDonald , which is more dedicated to dark trance .

Act

They started with the promo single Der Verfall , which was first published in 1998 under the artist name Lexikon on vinyl and maxi CD. There was also a limited promo vinyl with 3 mixes of the English version The Ruin . In 1999 the single was released as Der Verfall # 2 under the artist name Der Verfall . This was followed by Father Our , Departure and Der Mussolini (originally by DAF ( German-American Friendship )) on Wea Records , in 2003 their single Der Verfall was re-released with new mixes by Storm Music , in 2000 the album Angst im Wald (Wea Records). It contained 14 hard trance pieces with dark, sometimes morbid texts performed in recitative chanting. The singles Der Verfall , Vater Unser and Departure also appeared on VIVA Club rotations and various other samplers. Three of the single releases were able to hold their own in the German & Austrian single charts for several weeks .
