The Derag group of companies (abbreviation for Deutsche Realbesitz AG ) includes both real estate companies and the Derag Livinghotels hotel chain . The Derag Group manages its own portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Deutsche Realbesitz AG was founded in Munich in 1951 .

By 2012, the group had built over 85,000 residential and commercial units in Germany , Austria , Italy and Switzerland .

Olympic Village Munich

The Olympic Village in Munich is probably Derag's best-known property. The Olympic Park was planned by Derag and 51% built by Derag. The challenge was to combine planning for the Olympic Games and an implementation that would provide long-term benefits.
