Beneficiary

The term beneficiary (also beneficiary ) comes from foundation law . This designates the persons or institutions who are ( potentially ) benefited by the purpose of the foundation . For those, this means the possibility of receiving foundation funds.

The term is derived from the French word destinataire , which in turn derives from the French destiner (to determine) or from the Latin destinare (to determine, fix, transmit, allow, give).
