Detlef Freese

Detlef Freese is a former German basketball player .

Life

Freese, a 2.07 meter tall indoor player, competed in the basketball league with the Hamburg TB from the 1971/72 season . After he was hindered by a foot injury in his first Bundesliga year with the HTB, he developed into the top performers of the Hanseatic League in the 1972/73 season. In the further course of his basketball career, namely in 1976 and 1977, Freese played five international A matches for the German national team . Among other things, he took part in the games of the European Cup for national teams. In 1978 he moved to the second division VfL Pinneberg .
