Franco-German Youth Literature Prize
The Franco-German Youth Literature Prize is an international literature prize jointly awarded by Germany and France . Since 2013, the award has been honoring outstanding German or French-language works of children's and youth literature that have not yet been translated into the other language, with the aim of making contemporary youth literature better known in both countries and promoting literary cultural dialogue. One German and one French author will be honored. The winners should act as bridge builders and ambassadors of their cultures. In addition to prize money of 6,000 euros for each of the authors, the translation of the award-winning work will receive an additional 2,000 euros.
