In 2005, Hamburg's mairisch Verlag published his volume of short stories, the pockets full of water . In autumn 2007 the novel Robber Hands came out. The first novel describes the friendship between two boys: one from an intact and one from a crisis-ridden home. Shortly after graduating from high school, they set off together on their way to Istanbul in an act of departure . Atmospheres and emotional levels in the different milieus are depicted in three parallel storylines . Heinrich's texts were often referred to as "cinematic" in reviews, for example in a review by the taz . The book was a compulsory Abitur topic at all Hamburg schools in 2013 and 2014. In 2009 Heinrich presented two publications: the volume of stories Yesterday was already a day as well as the audio book Auf Meinekap . In both of them he deals in depth with characters who are on the fringes of society or who have to deal with strokes of fate. In 2010 a joint tour and CD release followed ( You turn your head, I turn your head ) with the musician Spaceman Spiff . In 2011 Heinrich's first children's book, Frerk, du Zwerg! , which won the German Youth Literature Prize in the children's book category in 2012 . An operatic version of the book premiered in September 2012 at the international literature festival berlin . There he was also a member of the jury for The Extraordinary Book award . Frerk, you dwarf! has now also been published in Korean translation.
Heinrich's second children's book, the first part of a trilogy, appears in 2013 with The Amazing Adventures of Maulina Schmitt - My Broken Kingdom . With The Amazing Adventures of Maulina Schmitt - Waiting for Miracles (Spring 2014) and The Amazing Adventures of Maulina Schmitt - End of the Universe (Autumn 2014), parts two and three of the trilogy about Maulina Schmitt have already been published by Hanser Verlag. In 2017 the children's book Trecker comes with was published in collaboration with the author Dita Zipfel and the illustrator Halina Kirschner. On August 16, 2013, the premiere of Räuberhände took place under the direction of Anne Lenk in the Thalia Theater "Gaußstraße" Hamburg. It was a hit with the public. Also in 2013, Heinrich's short story Helm appeared in the short story collection Y entonces? And now? .
Heinrich is also active as a filmmaker and screenwriter. His debut on 16 mm, the order of things , was awarded the German Youth Video Prize 2005. It won the Passau Short Film Festival, won a prize at the Magdeburg International Short Film Festival, Halbbilder and made it into the final for the short film of the year . His 16-minute documentary not at a table was made as a seminar work and is about a long-divorced couple from the 1968 generation, Heinrich's parents. The jury at the Federal Video Festival 2007 Rencontres internationales Paris / Berlin / Madrid awarded him the main prize in 2007, endowed with 1000 euros. The short film flies with Sandra Hüller in the leading role, for which Heinrich wrote the script, won various international awards and was shown at the Berlinale 2009 .
