German aerobics championship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Aerobics Championship is a sporting event initiated by the German Gymnastics Federation , which has been held annually at different locations since 1989.

The best aerobics athletes from all over Germany start in the competition categories. Various competitions are held and a ranking list is created from the results. For the annual highlight in Germany, the German Youth Championships and German Championships, the best eight or twelve (if there are more than 20 starters in the category) will contest the finals. The best athletes from their ranks are also appointed to the German national team.

Categories / area

You can start in the categories single, duo / pair (team of 2), trio (team of 3), team of 4-6, aerobic dance (group of 8 starters), aerobic step (also 8 starters, but with a step board) . Teams can be composed in different ways: all female, all male or mixed. In the age group 12-14 single starters, duo / couple, trio start on the 7 m² area; larger teams always start on the 10 m² area. In the AG 15-17, only the individual starters start on the 7 m² area, all teams on the 10 m² area. For adults (18+), individual starters and all teams start on a 10 m² area.

Age groups

The Masters is advertised in the following age groups:

  • Age group 18 years and older
  • Age group 15-17 years
  • Age group 12-14 years

At the national level, the age group 8-11 years old can also start, provided the regulations of the individual LTV permit and this age group (Talent Cup) is in the announcement.

The scoring rules for the Masters largely correspond to the international rules of the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). Current changes on the part of the FIG are usually adopted.
