The German Society for Regulatory Affairs (DGRA) is a scientific association in the field of drug approval .

It was founded in 1998 and is a registered association based in Bonn . The main goals of the company are to create a platform for interdisciplinary communication between universities, industry and authorities as well as education, training and further education in the field of regulatory affairs .

In cooperation with the University of Bonn , the DGRA operates a continuing education, part-time course leading to the Master of Drug Regulatory Affairs (MDRA). Since February 2011, the course has also been accredited by the Accreditation Council (Foundation for the Accreditation of Study Programs in Germany) according to the Bologna criteria.

Prizes and awards

  • Walter Cyran Medal. The medal is awarded at the annual congress to a person who has rendered outstanding services to regulatory affairs on a national or international level. Prize money is associated with the award.
  • DGRA sponsorship award. The DGRA award is given to excellent scientific work in the field of regulatory affairs. The prize is endowed with EUR 5,000.
  • DGRA study award. The study prize is awarded for the best or the best master's thesis from the Master of Drug Regulatory Affairs program. The prize is endowed with EUR 1,000.
