The German Society for Sterile Supply eV ( DGSV ) is a registered association based in Wustermark , which has set itself the task of promoting the qualifications of employees in the field of medical product processing.

history

The German Society for Sterile Supply e. V. was founded in Tübingen on November 13, 1996 by people from sterile supply, science and industry . The purpose of the association is to promote the health system by supporting research, science, education, training and further education as well as the exchange of experience with practice in the field of sterile goods supply.

The DGSV is the largest provider of training measures for employees in medical device processing in Germany. At approx. 60 DGSV-recognized educational establishments, qualification measures are carried out according to the framework curriculum of the DGSV. The DGSV is involved in the recognition of vocational training as a specialist in medical device processing - FMA - DGSV and has been conducting pilot training courses in Dortmund, Hildesheim, Potsdam, Brakel, Essen, Osnabrück, Hamburg and Weingarten since 2016.

Members of the DGSV work in various German standards committees and national guideline groups.

Every year the DGSV organizes a 3-day congress with an accompanying industrial exhibition. In 2017 the DGSV was the organizer of the Wfhss World Congress in Bonn. Qualification measures of the DGSV are - training to become a specialist in medical device processing - specialist knowledge I - specialist knowledge II - AEMP management course - validation course - specialist knowledge of medical / dental practices - specialist knowledge of endoscopy - specialist knowledge of podiatry - specialist knowledge of tattooists / piercers - validation for validators

The Scientific Advisory Board of the DGSV was constituted on October 1, 2019.

Structure of the association

Members

The association has over 1000 members: specialists from the healthcare sector and the AEMP departments, as well as from research, industry and education.

organs

The highest body of the registered association is the general assembly. This elects the board of the DGSV. The board currently has three members:

  • Klaus Wiese - CEO
  • Anke Carter - Vice Chairwoman
  • Frank Deinet - Deputy Chairman / Treasurer

Another organ of the DGSV is the advisory board. This is elected by the general assembly for 4 years and consists of a maximum of 25 people. Adelheid Jones is the coordinator of the advisory board. The advisory board appoints specialist committees. At the moment there are technical committees for education, for quality and for hygiene - construction - technology. The specialist committees regularly publish recommendations that are also recognized internationally.

Office

The association has an office that handles administrative tasks. The technical and content-related work is carried out exclusively on a voluntary basis by the employees of all organs and committees.
