German Medical Weekly

The German Medical Weekly ( DMW abbreviated ; ISSN  0012-0472 ) is a German medical journal . It is published by Georg Thieme Verlag as an organ of the German Society for Internal Medicine and the Society of German Natural Scientists and Doctors . There are free full texts in the current issue and some audio contributions.

It was founded and edited by Paul Albrecht Börner in 1875, followed by the medical councilor Samuel Guttmann (1839–1895) as editor. It was published by Georg Reimer until 1886 .

The DMW's print run in 2008 was 11,000 copies, 9,400 of which were distributed. The DMW appears in 46 issues per year. It offers CME -certified training. According to its own statements, it is “Germany's most widely read specialist journal for internists”. There are special issues on the most important congresses and topics in internal medicine.
