description

The German championships are divided into the following disciplines: team competition, target shooting and distance competition. The championships are held both on ice and on asphalt (summer championships). For the championships on ice, a qualification is required, which takes place via regional championship tournaments.
A clear north-south divide can be seen in the championship statistics. Teams from the south of the republic dominate almost exclusively, title wins for northern Germany are an absolute exception. This was achieved with the women in 1957. In 1959 and 1963 the Altonaer SV and the Hamburger SC respectively . Otherwise Bavarian representatives dominate the championships, especially with the men of the EC Grub .

In addition to the German championship, the German Cup (ice stock sport) is the most important club tournament at national level.
