German Monday newspaper

The German Monday newspaper was a weekly newspaper published in Berlin from 1910 to 1916 .

She was born in July 1910 a. a. Founded by Artur Landsberger , Hanns Heinz Ewers , Siegfried Jacobsohn and August Stehle (1879–1947) from Sigmaringen who, however, did not take care to influence the political course. In any case, Claus von Bredow , a nationalist military writer, was appointed editor-in-chief whose political orientation of the paper prompted Jacobsohn to leave the editorial office after the first two issues (he was in charge of the theater department, he was contractually obliged to do so, but until April 1912; his Successor was Heinrich Eduard Jacob ). After just one year, the paper got into a serious crisis, so that Walter Steinthal took over from Bredow as editor-in-chief in August 1911. Under Steinthal's direction, the newspaper became one of the most liberal weekly papers in the empire, with a circulation of 800,000 copies.
