German paintball league

The German Paintball League , or DPL for short , is the largest European league for tournament paintball . It is incorporated into the "United Paintball Federation" (UPBF) and the "European Paintball Federation" (EPBF) and is part of the European league system "United European Paintball Leagues" (UEPL).

The German Paintball League was founded in 2003. The 1st Bundesliga was created through the merger with the GPPL in 2005 .

In 2007, the "German Junior League" (DNL) and the "German Amateur League" joined the German Paintball League. The DPL is currently the largest national paintball league in Europe.

In Germany, the regional broadcaster Rhein-Main-TV has been reporting since 2007 and the sports broadcaster Eurosport since 2008 on the match days of the First Bundesliga. The 1st and 2nd Bundesliga has been broadcast as a live stream on the Internet since 2008 .

DPL summer

In the DPL summer, the German paintball master will be played. From 2014 the league will be played in eight divisions . The individual game classes are linked to one another by a promotion and relegation system.

A qualification for the "European Amateur Finals" (EP5) and the "DPL-Pokal" is also possible in addition to promotion to the next higher league.

The paintballs must be purchased in the district, state, association and major league directly at the sports field. In the higher leagues it is permissible and customary to use paintballs from any dealer.

DPL winter

In addition to the German championship held in summer, a winter league is held annually on three match days at several venues. The two best teams of these game days qualify again for the final.
