German Rabbinical Conference
The German Rabbinical Conference (DRK) was founded in 2004 as the amalgamation of all rabbis who either officiate in a community belonging to the Central Council of Jews in Germany or belong to a regional association of the Central Council. As of March 2015: On www.zentralratdjuden.de the German Rabbinical Conference is no longer listed under Institutions / Rabbinical Conferences.
The DRK was the umbrella organization of
- General Rabbinical Conference Germany (ARK) and the
- Orthodox Rabbinical Conference Germany (ORD)
planned.
The chair alternated between a representative of the ORD and the ARK, with the other organization providing the deputy chair.
Both rabbinical organizations - ORD and ARK - each have their own rabbinical court ( Beth Din ).
