Historical logo

Geestemünder Bank AG was founded in Bremerhaven in 1871. From 1986 the Vereins- und Westbank from Hamburg took over 82% of the total share capital. The entire banking business, including the employees, was transferred to Bankhaus Neelmeyer AG from Bremen in 1997. The company was renamed Geestemünder Verwaltungs- und Grundstücks Aktiengesellschaft (GVG). At the general meeting of GVG on April 13, 1999, a change of name to "Deutsche Real Estate AG" was decided. As of December 31, 2018, the property portfolio consisted of 28 properties with a total area of ​​359,413 m². In addition to its own, 56 Summit Group properties were managed.
