The magazine Deutsche Sängerschaft is the organ of the German Singers Association (DS). It was founded in 1895 as an academic singing newspaper and has been published under its current name since 1923. During the forced dissolution of the DS from 1936 to 1950, the magazine stopped its publication.
The magazine appears towards the end of each quarter.
In terms of content, the newspaper essentially deals with the following topics:
- general association news
- university policy issues
- general corporation issues
- corporate history topics
- musical themes.
