The German TV Platform eV c / o ZVEI is an association under association law of private program providers, public broadcasters, communication infrastructure operators, device manufacturers, universities and research institutes, federal ministries, state governments and state media authorities and others with the aim of introducing, distributing and further developing the digital To promote television in Germany.

history

Founded on November 2, 1990 as the National HDTV Platform Germany by 19 companies, associations and institutions, the association was renamed in 1993 to German TV Platform for HDTV and New TV Systems . The association has had its current name since 1995.
