German Farmers' Union (1885-1893)

The German farmers' union was a representation of the interests of farmers , which was mainly active in Prussia . In 1893 most of the members became members of the farmers' union .

history

The union was a political organization led by Prussian Junkers, which was supposed to secure a mass base in the peasantry for them. Its relatively limited followers were concentrated in a few provinces of Prussia. With its dissolution in 1893, the association brought the majority of its members to the Federation of Farmers (BdL).

There was no continuity with the German Farmers 'Union from 1909 to 1927 or the current German Farmers' Union
