The Deutsche Betriebswirte-Verlag is a German business publisher . He publishes textbooks and specialist books in the fields of economics , in particular management, controlling and purchasing, as well as on the basics of business administration and economics . The publishing house also includes the publication of the trade journal Der Betriebswirt . The publisher is a member of the German Book Trade Association .

history

The publishing house was founded in 1926 in east Berlin . A re-establishment took place in 1956 in West Berlin . It had been based in Gernsbach since 1968 and, after the death of the publisher Casimir Katz in 2008, initially remained an independent specialist publisher in the legal form of a GmbH. In 2019 it was taken over by the Berlin publisher Duncker & Humblot .
